Foreword
After the 79th Congress of the Italian Society of Orthopaedic and Traumatology focused on cementless arthroplasty, which have had a large number of participants, both Italian and foreigner I thought it was worth to publish a collection of the most interesting papers presented at the congress.
Such a volume could represent a synthesis of the last trends in cementless hip and other joint arthroplasties.
I think that the Italian and European experience could be interesting for international orthopaedic surgeons and by that way English language could allow a wider diffusion of these contents. Furthermore, on my knowledge, this is the only complete monograph on cementless arthroplasties. I hope it will provide information and stimulate the scientific discussion for further advancement in orthopaedic surgery.
